Brands may only list their own work. If you believe a listing on Venegade uses your copyrighted work or your trademark without permission, tell us and we’ll act quickly.
How to send a copyright notice
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice” and include:
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- The link to each Venegade page you’re reporting.
- This statement: “I have a good faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- This statement: “The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.”
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
Please only send a notice if you own the work or act for the owner. Knowingly false notices can carry legal liability.
Trademarks and counterfeits
To report a listing that uses your trademark or sells counterfeit goods, email [email protected] with the subject line “Trademark report”. Include the trademark and where it’s registered, the links you’re reporting, and how you’re connected to the mark.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your report, usually within two business days.
- If the notice is complete, we remove or hide the listing and tell the brand, including who complained and why, so they can respond.
- We tell you what we did.
If your listing was removed (counter-notice)
If you’re a brand and believe we removed your listing by mistake, reply to our email with:
- Your name, postal address and phone number.
- The listing that was removed.
- This statement: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you’re outside the United States, any judicial district in which Venegade may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We send your counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they’ve filed a court action, we may restore the listing.
Repeat infringement
We remove brands that repeatedly list infringing work.
