Venegade is a free directory. Brands list their products here, and when a shopper presses View product they go to the brand’s own store and buy from the brand. We are never a party to a sale.
1. What Venegade is, and isn’t
- We show products from independent, founder-run brands and link to each product on the brand’s own store.
- We don’t sell anything, take payments, ship, handle returns or hold anyone’s money. Every purchase happens on the brand’s store, under the brand’s own terms, prices and policies.
- Listing is free: no listing fee, no subscription and no commission. If we ever offer paid extras, they’ll be optional, and we’ll tell brands well before anything changes.
2. For shoppers
Brands provide their product information, and we keep it in step with their stores, but a store can change a price or sell out at any time: the brand’s store is always the final word. We check every brand against our rules before it’s listed, but we don’t make or sell the products and can’t guarantee them. Questions about an order, delivery or a return go to the brand. If something on Venegade looks wrong, misleading or unsafe, tell us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it.
3. For brands
Who can list
Every brand must meet all of our eligibility rules, both when it applies and for as long as it’s listed:
- Independently owned. The founders hold majority ownership and control of the business.
- Founder-run. At least one founder is actively involved in running the business day to day.
- A storefront of your own. You sell through a store carrying your own brand name, with your own product pages and a checkout you control. Listings inside someone else’s catalogue (such as Amazon or eBay) and resale marketplaces don’t qualify.
- Not carried by big retailers. Your products are not stocked nationally by large retail chains.
- Photos that match the product. Your photos show the actual product you sell, as it really looks.
- No AI in the Art category. Nothing listed in Art involves AI-generated or AI-assisted work, at any stage.
- Genuine products. Nothing counterfeit, and no unlicensed use of another brand’s trademarks, designs or characters.
We review every application and every shop by hand and may decline or remove a brand at our discretion. When we decline or remove something, we’ll tell you why where we can.
What you can’t list
Anything illegal where you or your shoppers are; weapons and ammunition; drugs, drug paraphernalia, tobacco and vaping products; adult products; recalled or unsafe products; live animals; hazardous materials; counterfeit or infringing goods; and anything that promotes hate or violence. Some sections (for example alcohol and supplements) open after launch; products saved there stay hidden until they do.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you give us: product information, photos, logos and your story. You give Venegade permission (a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence) to copy, store, resize, crop and display it on Venegade and in Venegade’s own posts and emails that feature your brand, for as long as you’re listed and for a short time afterwards while it’s removed. You confirm you have the right to give that permission, and that what you list is accurate.
Connecting your store
When you connect your store, you authorise us to read its public product information automatically, a few times a day, and to keep your listings in step with it. You can disconnect at any time. Etsy shops are read only through Etsy’s official API. The term “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
Keeping listings accurate
Keep your links, prices and stock right. We automatically hide products whose links stop working, and products that disappear from your store, until they work again.
Your account
You sign in with links we email you, so keep your email account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your brand portal. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
Leaving
You can remove products or leave Venegade at any time, for any reason, without telling us why. There’s no contract, no term and no fee to leave.
4. Reports and removals
Anyone can report a brand or product to [email protected]. We review every report. While we look into something serious we may hide the listing; if it breaks our rules we remove it and tell the brand why. Brands can reply and ask us to look again. Copyright and trademark complaints follow our copyright and IP process.
5. Venegade’s own content
The Venegade name, design and site are ours. Brands’ content belongs to the brands.
6. No warranties
We work hard to keep Venegade accurate and running, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or that any brand or product is right for you.
7. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Venegade isn’t liable for purchases made on brands’ stores, for brands’ products or conduct, or for indirect or consequential losses. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to US$100. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and email approved brands before any change that affects them takes effect. Continuing to use Venegade after that means you accept the new terms.
